Happy Memorial Day Weekend Family & Friends

This photo was sent in by Pam Miller Hoskins (Daughter of Garth and Bobbie Miller) This is Pam's husband Bill. He served in the Navy for 9 years, then remained in Active Reserves. Although the Navy was his branch of the service, as a Medical Corpsman he was reactivated during the Gulf War, and served with the Marines in Saudi Arabia, thus the desert photo. We're proud of you Bill and thanks for serving our country! Thanks for the photo Pam!

This is my Dad, husband of Nelda Miller Gust, Bill Gust who served in the United States Army during WWII, where he qualified for the Bronze Star, but did not receive it until over 50 years later. He fought many battles, including the Battle of the Bulge. He met General Eisenhower face to face and worked after the war was ended in an ordinance depot just blocks from where General Patton was killed while traveling in a motorcade.

My hubby also served in the United States Air Force and we are hoping family members might have a photo of him somewhere.

I was thrilled to receive several photos from Shirley Kunz Williams (Aunt Jessie's (Goldie's sister) youngest daughter) and glad to know they have been enjoying the blog too! We were hoping to connect and reconnect with family members out there! Thanks so much Shirley!

Thanks Uncle Ralph for serving your country in the Navy!

He looks good in his sailor's hat too, but we were always used to him in a cowboy hat!
