The Quiet Side of the Tetons!
I have not posted in quite awhile to any of my blogs, social media just seems to be a quicker, instant update, but when this photo came across my newsfeed from "Only in Idaho" I thought, now that belongs on our Teton Valley Blog!

Happy Veteran's Day/Birthday Ralph Thompson!
My
grandpa Ralph M. Thompson, 1918. Nov. 11, 1918 (Armistice Day) was his
22nd birthday. He was coming home on leave and when the train stopped
in a town along the way, the citizens carried him on their shoulders in
honor of his service, and in celebration of the end of World War I. (Submitted by Jackie Ginn)

Update on Pierre's Playhouse
Fond memories of the summer melodramas at Pierre's Playhouse........ In a recent newspaper article, I read where the Playhouse is also now a theater. Be sure to click on the Facebook link and see what's happening at Pierre's! They are replacing the old theater seats---you can pick one up for $30.00 each, or purchase a whole row of history! Here are some photos from FB:

A nostalgic look down the aisle of Pierre's Playhouse---It may not look like this again.
We've been in this little theater many times, sitting in those red seats, a packed house waiting for the performance to start.
Renovations are taking place....old seating removed.
Floors refinished before new seating put in.

Rhea Thompson Hollis
Goldie's niece, Rhea Thompson Hollis (daughter of Ralph and Valeda Thompson) has gone ahead to the great, eternal family reunion on the other side.
Here are some photos posted by her daughter, Jackie.
I will always remember her visit with Guelda Maurine to Idaho. They managed to find our place in the country, but we laughed about leaving bread crumbs the next time! They spent the night with us, and from then on we referred to the sisters as "Hansel, Guelda and Gretel!"
Rhea, age 4
What a cutie, look at those darling ringlets!!

The descendants of E. E. Thompson recently held a family reunion in Jerome, Idaho. Here are some photos from the reunion. To see more, you can check out "Thompson Family Ties" on Flickr at www.flickr.com
